  Largest pillow fight: St. Paul Saints break Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

   MINNEAPOLIS, MN, USA -- The St. Paul Saints have set a new World Record for the largest pillow fight; 6,261 fans joined in the fluffy fun; the Saints beat the previous Guinness World Records world record of 4,201 participants at a pillow fight in South Dakota last year, according to the World Record Academy.

  The Guinness World Records' record for the largest water balloon fight consisted of 8,957 participants and was achieved by Christian Student Fellowship at the University of Kentucky (USA) in Lexington, USA, on 27 August 2011. 175,141 water balloons were used during the fight.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest water pistol fight; it involved 3,875 participants and was achieved by the University of California, Irvine at an event organised by NLA Sports (both USA) in Irvine, California, USA, on 24 September 2013.

   MyPillow provided 8,000 pillows to the crowd of 8,960 and the official tally showed that the Saints broke the previous Guinnness World Recordsrecord by more than 2,000 people.

    The previous Guinness World Records world record of 4,201 participants was set at a Super 8 Motel in Brookings, South Dakota in 2014.
