Longest goal scored in football: Asmir Begovic breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)
Stoke-on-Trent, England -- Asmir Begovic, 27, entered the Guinness Book of World Records for scoring the longest goal in soccer history; Begovic scored the wind-assisted goal 13 seconds into his team's Premier League 1-1 draw against Southampton; Begovic's strike officially was measured at 301ft 6in, setting the new world record for the :ongest goal scored in football (soccer),

The Guinness World Records' record for the longest headed goal scored in a competitive football (soccer) match was 58.13 m (190 ft 8.58 in), achieved by Jone Samuelsen (Norway), playing for ODD Grenland vs Tromsø Idrettsla.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most goals scord by an individual player in a World Cup finals tournament; it is 13 by Just Fontaine (France) in 1958 in Sweden.
The Bosnia international scored in bizarre fashion at the Britannia Stadium last November when his long clearance – just 13 seconds after kick-off – bounced over opposite number Artur Boruc and into the net.
His kick, measured at 91.9 metres (301ft 6in), has now been registered as the 'longest goal scored in football' in the latest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Begovic told the club's official website: "I feel amazing to be honoured in this way and as a goalkeeper I didn't expect this to happen, not for this type of record anyway. I will take it though and enjoy it.
