Largest game of musical statues: Mansfield State High School breaks Guinness world record
MANSFIELD, Australia -- At least 1500 students from Mansfield State High School and Mansfield State School took part in the largest game of musical statues, breaking the Guinness world record set in 2010 when 1079 attendees at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre danced, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest game of musical statues was achieved by 1,079 participants in an event organised by Danone Finland at Helsinki Exhibition center, Helsinki, Finland, on 25 April 2010.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest game of duck, duck, goose; it involved 2,135 participants at an event organised by the Logan-Rogersville School District at Logan-Rogersville High School in Rogersville, Missouri, USA.
Mansfield High community liaison officer Sue Holly said it was a successful day, The Courier Mail reported.
"It was completely chaotic and everyone had a lot of fun," she said.
"A lot of people will sleep well tonight." Breaking a world record is serious business and this one was no different.
Mansfield High had to meet strict requirements including that a camera record every minute of the event and witnesses independent of the school were present to ensure everything was aboveboard.
Each student was asked to make a gold coin donation to take part in the record and all money will go to the Mater Children's Hospital and Guide Dogs Queensland.
