Tallest Pancake Stack: TNT breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)
NEW YORK, NY, USA -- In celebration of the upcoming premiere of the new cooking competition series On the Menu, TNT has broken a Guinness World Records record for the World's Tallest Pancake Stack; TNT hosted a one-of-a-kind breakfast demo with On the Menu's Chef Emeril Lagasse and host Ty Pennington; the epic pancake stack reached 87.4 cm (approximately 34.4 inches),setting the new world record for the Tallest Pancake Stack,

The previous Guinness World Records' record for the tallest stack of pancakes measures 87 cm (2 ft 10 in) and was achieved by Fukuoka Visionary Arts (Japan), in Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan, on 29 June 2014.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people tossing pancakes; it is 890 and was achieved at an event organised by the University of Sheffield (UK), in Sheffield, UK.

Yesterday in New York City's Times Square, TNT hosted a one-of-a-kind breakfast demo with On the Menu's Chef Emeril Lagasse and host Ty Pennington.
The epic pancake stack reached 87.4 cm (approximately 34.4 inches), surpassing the previous Guinness World Records' record of 87 cm.
On the Menu is slated to premiere tooday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), only on TNT.
TNT's Times Square event kicked off with Chef Emeril Lagasse leading 300+ home cooks as they created their own On the Menu-worthy pancake breakfast featuring Lagasse's new seasonal pancake recipe.
The home cooks also enjoyed some of Emeril's tips and tricks for preparing a hearty fall breakfast this harvest season. While Emeril was working with the home cooks, Ty Pennington oversaw a team building the pancake tower for the attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS(R) record for the World's Tallest Pancake Stack.
An official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator was on-site to measure and certified the record upon completion.
