DALLAS, TX, USA -- Which Wich, an award-winning, national, fast-casual sandwich concept, made and donated 26,710 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to Dallas-based non-profit organizations; the sandwiches were made during the chain's 'Spreading Party' at the Sheraton Dallas, where more than 500 franchisees, corporate staff and volunteers gathered in an attempt to surpass the existing Guinness World Records' record of 20,975 sandwiches made in an hour,

The Guinness World Records' record for the most sandwiches made in one hour is 20,975 and was achieved by Youth Central & Cenovus Energy Inc. (both Canada) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on 1 October 2014.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people making sandwiches simultaneously; it is 1,363 and was achieved by TangoTab and Friends (USA), at the Hilton Anatole Dallas in Dallas, Texas, USA, on 22 February 2014.

By the end of the hour, all of the sandwiches were wrapped and packaged for immediate delivery to a variety of area charities and organizations. The event was in support of Which Wich's newly launched philanthropic campaign, Project PB&J®, where for every PB&J sandwich purchased in a Which Wich location, the company donates a PB&J to a local cause and banks one for their global initiative trust.

"Today, we used a lot of peanut butter and a lot of jelly but most of all we used a lot of love, which is the secret ingredient in our PB&J sandwiches," said Jeff Sinelli, founder, CEO and "Chief Vibe Officer" behind the booming sandwich brand.

"With these sandwiches we are able to feed thousands in the Greater Dallas area, and we couldn't be happier to provide food to those that need it most in our home city."

The brand has a goal of making and donating over 1-million sandwiches in 2015.

Which Wich's Project PB&J® program aims to aid in the fight against hunger by allowing customers the chance to donate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to organizations in local communities who provide food for those in need.
Which Wich founders, Jeff and Courtney Sinelli, share a love for the PB&J sandwich and after supporting hundreds of charitable causes over the last decade, Jeff and Courtney wanted a more direct path to helping people. It occurred to them that maybe they could change the world by giving away PB&Js.
