The Guinness World Records world record for the largest shaved ice dessert is 1,226 kg and was achieved by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (Overseas) Ltd. Taiwan Branch (Chinese Taipei) in Taipei, Chinese Taipei on 18 July 2015.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest ice cream cake; it weighed 10.13 tonnes (22,333.6 lb) and was achieved by Dairy Queen Canada at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on 10 May 2011. The cake measured 4.45 m (14 ft 7 in) long, 4.06 m (13 ft 3 in) wide, and 1 m (3 ft 3 in) tall. It included sponge cake, vanilla ice cream, buttercream frosting, and Oreo cookie crumble topping.

The record-breaking feat was held in celebration of the first ever National Cookie Decorating Day – which Pillsbury plans to honor annually on the second Saturday in December, as a day designated for families to get into the holiday spirit decorating cookies together.

"We all know how quickly the holiday season can come and go with shopping lists, errands and full social calendars," said Michelle Peterson, Pillsbury's marketing director.
"At Pillsbury, we decided to designate a day encouraging parents to have some holiday fun with their kids, decorating cookies and creating memories and traditions to last for years to come."
