The Guinness world record for the largest tea bag was set by a company in Portsmouth after unveiling their 120kg record breaker in 2011.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest collection of tea bag holders, set by Mimi Wilfong (USA), who has a collection of 116 different tea bag holders, as of June 2009, that she has amassed since 1992.
The Planet Organic food company showed off the giant creation this week in its bid to raise money for cancer awareness.
Standing 3m high and held in place by a forklift, the bag would make around 100,000 cups for thirsty tea lovers.
'The tea bag itself is a pyramid tea bag that contains 151kg of organic green tea," marketing manager Brian Condon said.
'It would make about 100,000 cups of tea, but we don't have a cup big enough to make one big cup.
'We may look at making the biggest cup of tea next year.'
