NEW JERSEY, NY, USA -- Located under the
upper arch of the George Washington Bridge's New Jersey tower,
the 450-pound American flag is 90 feet by 60 feet and drapes
vertically, flying freely-setting the world record for the
Largest
Free-Flying American Flag.

Free-Flying American Flag is 90 feet by 60 feet and
drapes vertically, flying freely, responding to breezes from
the Hudson River or Palisades.
The flag’s stripes are approximately five feet
wide and the stars measure about four feet in diameter.
The 450-pound flag can be seen flying from
dawn until dusk on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Weather permitting, the Largest
Free-Flying American Flag will also be flown on the
following eight holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents
Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Columbus Day, and Veterans Day. Those interested in getting photographs

Avenue overpass in Fort Lee and the north area overlook of
Fort Lee Historical Park located on Hudson Terrace.
