The Guinness World Records world record for the largest anamorphic pavement art is 2,632 sq m (28,330.5 sq ft) and was achieved by Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition 2014, Qingdao Shiyuan (Group) Co. Ltd. and the Art Academy of Qingdao Technological University (all China) in Qingdao, Shandong, China on 23 December 2014. The anamorphic pavement art was created over a period of 2 months and painted in a 111 m long tunnel that is 7.75 m tall.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the
largest chalk pavement art; it measures 18,598 m² (200,187.2 ft²) and was achieved by Soulwash (Denmark), in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 16 August 2015.

Acting Minister for Education (Schools) and Senior Minister of State for Transport Ng Chee Meng added the finishing touches to the artwork outside the Trick Eye Museum at Resorts World Sentosa.

Titled Story of Our City 3D, the artwork features iconic landmarks along the Singapore city skyline. It took a team of close to 50 artists, teachers, and students 11 days to complete it.

"Singapore's landscape has totally transformed over the last 50 years and it's gone from developing nation to a world class metropolis. We wanted to really tell the story of our city, and really put Singapore on the world map by breaking this Guinness World Record," said Ms Mok Choy Lin, Mediacorp's Vice President for the International Content and News Segment.
